Steps

  1. Check whether you're listed. Search transunion.com for your name, city, and state. Note any listings that match you, including older addresses.
  2. Open the opt-out form. Go to TransUnion's opt-out page and fill in the form with the details that match your listing.
  3. Have your phone ready. This opt-out may verify you by phone, for example with an automated call and a short code.
  4. Check again later. Search for yourself again in a few days. Brokers often re-add people from new public records, so put a reminder on your calendar to check again in 6 months.
